Meet contemporary Vietnamese Painter Do Hoang Tuong
Do Hoang Tuong’s abstract creations are based on emotions expressed figuratively. He primarily paints acrylic on canvas and builds up the texture on the canvas by applying paper or crushed stone to the surface before painting. Painting abstractly allows Tuong to become mesmerized by the process of creating, which enables him to let his feelings dictate the direction his work takes.
“Contemporary Vietnamese artists do not believe in replicating the masterpieces of their masters. Rather, they are intent on giving new dimensions to this genre.”

Meet Sir Ken Robinson
A visionary cultural leader, Sir Ken led the British government’s 1998 advisory committee on creative and cultural education, a massive inquiry into the significance of creativity in the educational system and the economy, and was knighted in 2003 for his achievements.
Why don’t we get the best out of people? Sir Ken Robinson argues that it’s because we’ve been educated to become good workers, rather than creative thinkers. Students with restless minds and bodies — far from being cultivated for their energy and curiosity — are ignored or even stigmatized, with terrible consequences. “We are educating people out of their creativity,” Robinson says.

2009 Venice Biennale Artist of Choice
Being awarded the Golden Lion for the best National Pavilion only confirmed that Bruce Nauman is the star of the 2009 Venice Biennale. With his triumphant exhibition in the Giardini as well as his shows at two other sites in the city, he has finally been granted the attention he so richly deserves.
Working in the diverse mediums of sculpture, video, film, printmaking, performance, and installation, Nauman concentrates less on the development of a characteristic style and more on the way in which a process or activity can transform or become a work of art.
